I was so excited to learn that teabook was going to be sending me a box of samples to try, but I had no idea just how awesome the box would be! Behold the wonder:

One of teabook's "hooks" is that they make it easy to take loose-leaf tea on the go. To that end, they provided me with the teabook Tea Tumbler in addition to several packets of green tea, oolong tea and one packet of a speciality tea.

What makes teabook really special is the tea itself. They work with tea gardens in China to provide subscribers with high-quality organic tea leaves. These teas contain no additives, flavourings - not even tea bags! The packets contain tea leaves and nothing else. Here's proof:

The result is a superior cup of tea! I have tried both the green tea and the oolong tea that came in my box. I am saving the other one for a special occasion (like my next bubble bath!) I prefer the green tea's light, herbal flavour, but the oolong (which is stronger) is good, too. I will definitely drink them all.

The first time I used the tea tumbler was at my daughter's soccer game. It's super easy to use and the sleek glass design is easy to hold and carry, thanks to the handy strap. All you do is add the pre-measured tea leaves into the bottom of the tumbler, fill with boiling water (and, if you're me, some honey) screw on the top (which features a filter so the leaves stay put when you sip) and the cap and go!

The tea tumbler kept my tea hot throughout the entire game, which I thought was very impressive. Even more impressive is the fact that the glass didn't get so hot that I burned my hands. It was definitely toasty, but that was very much welcome on the chilly soccer pitch.

The only drawback that I can see about the tea tumbler itself is that because the leaves sit right in the water (and because I tend to sip slowly) the tea can get quite strong by the time you drink the last sips. For some people, this won't be an issue but I can see why some teas might get a bit of a bitter edge after steeping for too long.

All in all though, I love this company and their products and I would highly recommend their subscription. Subscriptions are $24.99 USD per month, which includes shipping in the U.S. There's also the option to shop for individual teas.

If you're looking for a great cup of tea (or several) delivered to your door every month, check out teabook. Your first box will contain a tea tumbler along with your teas , and every month thereafter will contain just the pre-portioned packets of premium loose-leaf tea. All that's left to do when you get your box each month is boil the kettle and relax with a truly great cup of tea.

DISCLAIMER: I received all of the products mentioned in this review free of charge, for the purposes of review. All opinions are my own.
