Remember that enormously popular book (and movie) The Fault in our Stars"? I don't know about you, but I loved that book. As heart-wrenching as it was, I was all-in for that story. I love a good tear-jerker and a good love story, and that book had both in just the right measure.

Enter Differently Normal, by Tammy Robinson.

Although unrelated to TFIOS in any way, this book will almost certainly appeal to readers who enjoyed that book. In this story, we meet Maddy, a young woman dealing with the challenges of having a special-needs sibling. Her sister has autism, which means the entire family lives a life of routine, and as one of her sister's caretakers, Maddy doesn't have time for much of a social life, let alone dating.

And then she meets Albert, and everything changes.

Albert's upbringing has been very different than Maddy's. A perennial disappointment to his strict father, Albert isn't used to being a part of a functioning family. When he meets Maddy, he learns what family looks like and what sacrifices people make for the people they love.

Can Maddy and Albert make the biggest sacrifice for each other, while learning that life isn't always something we can control?

"Differently Normal is a spellbinding love story of hopes, dreams and sacrifice, for anyone who loved The Fault in Our Stars or Me Before You."

This book should definitely come with a box of tissues. Don't say I didn't warn you!
