8yo Book Review: Star Wars: The Adventures of BB-8

Published by DK Canada, The Adventures of BB-8 is one of their levelled readers. I am a big fan of these books, as they feature popular characters and topics that appeal to kids and inspire them to want to continue to up the ante on their reading abilities. Anything that gets kiddos reading is OK in my book!

This particular title is a Level 2, which means that it is aimed at readers who are beginning to read fluently with support. Although there are some trickier words because of the Star Wars vocabulary, the awesome photos and other visual cues help to trigger word recognition. If you have a young reader in your home who is also a Star Wars fan like we do, this is a great book to add to their home library.

This is a good book! The story is very interesting. There is a lot of information about a lot of Star Wars characters and it has really cool pictures. It's pretty easy to read except for some of the Star Wars words. I think it should be more like Level 3 because of the Star Wars words. I think anyone who likes Star Wars would really like to read this book!
